Steven is the best Attended a Grizzy Bear and Whale your with Steven yesterday. The boat was fabulous but Stevens service was even beyond that. Such attention to detail and passion for his country’s wildlife and culture of First Nations. He made our breakfast and lunch which was delicious. He was relentless in his pursuit of locating Grizzlies and Whales. Which we did. Saw Grizzlies with their Cubs, Humpback Whales and Orcas. Way beyond expectations. He gave us a tour and recount of the indigenous cultural centre in Alert Bay and the island of his ancestors which was an awesome experience. We want to adopt Steven!! He will have a place to stay in Adelaide South Australia should he visit at anytime. Our contact details are on your records 5 ⭐️ 💕👴🏻👵🏻read moreread lessToni C6/01/2022 -
AMAZING TOUR I was looking forward to the Sea Wolf Adventures tour since I had booked it; the insight provided by the guides and their culture is something that is not readily available and is so important in my opinion. Steven and Sherry were amazing, their stories added so much more to the experience, and the cultural centre was a great start to our adventure. I am looking forward to joining them again in the near future!read moreread lessJBeth Photo6/01/2022 -
A wonderful day with Sea Wolf on the Grizzly Bears of the Wild Tour High winds were forecast on the day we were to go for our trip. Steven, our guide/skipper was reluctant to disappoint with a cancellation so took us out to see how rough it was. We and the other couple aboard had made plans to stay in the Port McNeill area for a few days with the possibility of a cancellation in mind. As we approached the straight he said he was fine with crossing but was more concerned with our comfort and suggested we reschedule for the following day. We were all fine with that so he took us to see the sea lion colony and back to the dock. The following day the water was like glass. 8 of us boarded along with Steven and Sherry. What a fantastic boat! My husband and I have both spent a lot of time on our coastal waters and would love to have owned a boat like the TISAMGID. Great stability, layout and comfort. Sherry took the helm and Steven chatted to the group. Both were extremely informative and it was very apparent they both loved their job, the water, the land, their history, and wildlife. We had an absolutely fantastic day. In the morning we saw 6 Grizzly bears foraging along the shores of Knight Inlet and Glendale Cove. We exited Knight Inlet to visit Cleo Channel and view rock drawings and old winter village sites. As we entered Blackfish Sound we could see whale blows towards Johnstone Straight. We slowly approached the area and happily floated around watching the humpbacks playing in the tide rip. Our guess was 4 to 6 whales in the area. On our way back towards Cormorant Channel we saw transient killer whales spread over a large area that appeared to be travelling North. In all the may have been 6 or more. Then it was back to the Sea Lion colony to laugh at their antics. As the day neared the end the group was treated to a visit to the U'mista Cultural Centre - a wonderful way to round out a day of learning about the people and history of the area. We couldn't have asked for a better day and have promised ourselves to make this an annual adventure. Thank you Sherry and Steven for sharing your home/territory/history/culture with us. Incredible tour amazing time. After watching Ed and Jeff from the Upside. We decided too try Sea Wolf Adventures in Port McNeill. We were joined with our International Students. Sea Wolf adventures deliveries what they say. "Great adventure", watched Grizzly Bears in their backyard. Saw Blackbears, White sided dolphins, Humpback Whales and Eagles glore. They said the trip would be about 8 hrs, it was. The 1hr 40 min boat ride in was smooth, up the Knights Inlet. Our Guide Sherri was a delight. After our tour, we were treated to the Native Centre in Port Alice. Looked at artifacts hundreds of years old. Snacks, Lunches, Everything was included. We had every West Coast expericenes even with the weather. First time Sherri and Mike wore their Ponch's. Still the rain couldn't drown out the Adventure. If you do just 1 thing this summer. I would suggest take the drive up go on a Grizzly Watch. You'll be amazed just as we were. Thank-you 2 thread moreread lessHill Gang6/01/2022 -
An Experience Not To Be Missed We cannot rave enough about our experience with Sea Wolf Adventures and specifically our guide Steven! There could be so much said about the entire day. You could tell Steven takes pride in what he does and enjoys showing people his lands and sharing his culture. He was very knowledgable and seemed invested in making sure we saw as much as possible in the day. We saw black bears, grizzlies, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, etc. We saw so many unique things that we may never see again, you just never know what you are going to see out there. The food was great and we received way more than I was anticipating. Definitely worth the trip up there and we would definitely do it again. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather and don't hesitate to book this amazing expread moreread lessCourtenay N6/01/2022
